The Beat Splicer

FlyLoops comes equipped with a beat splicer, which allows you to pull a small recorded section (a beat) out of you composition and repeat it in perfect time to the project and with a variable random probability matrix, fades, effects, and quantization.

This allows you to create super fast electronica style beats that adhere to particular rhythms (a fast clave for example). The beat splicer can be used to add small amounts of variation to rhythms to keep them interesting, or can be used to drive the entire composition into experimental territory where you allow the machine to set the rhythm. By tweaking the randomness of the splicer you can go from well defined rhythms to chaos and back again.
