Probability Matrix

FlyLoops uses a custom probability matrix on every drum (and the beat splicers) to allow for precise beat programming. On the drums, the matrix specifies the probability of the drum or loop section playing at a particular time in the measure. Similarly, the beat splicer will play the specified part of a loop, repeating it within the measure as dictated by the probability matrix. By clicking on the Matrix will change the probability that the beat will be played at a particular point in the measure. There are controls to change the chance offset, the swing of the beats, and clustering (making beats more likely to play in groups). Since all these controls can be easily mapped to midi controllers, it s a quick turn of the knob to change the backing beat drastically; and since the matrix follows the metronome, and changes in tempo will be handled automatically.
